Regional Associations

The NDPQ's 2017 Annual General Meeting encouraged activists to create regional NDPQ associations, which group at least 25 active members within a given geographical area. Once recognized by the party and by the DGEQ, the regional association has a financial autonomy and will serve as an organizational base for the general elections.

The criteria to meet to create a regional NDPQ association are relatively simple :

- You must have 25 NDPQ members living in the territory of your regional association.

- You must hold a general assembly and invite all members of the territory, and inform the party of the date, the time and the location of this meeting.

- At this general assembly, you must adopt a set of bylaws in following the guidelines as set by the NDPQ provincial executive committee, and elect at least three officers to the executive committee of your regional NDPQ association.

AFTER YOUR ASSEMBLY :

You will need to send the party a copy of your bylaws as adopted, along with the names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers of your local executive committee, to the attention of the chair or the vice-chair of the NDPQ's organization committee. Once the party has assessed that everything is conform to regulations, you will receive a letter from the party leader, Raphaël Fortin, acknowledging that your association is an official NDPQ association, and a notice from the DGEQ as well. With this in hand, you will be able to open a bank account and manage its funds.

The NDPQ's executive committee resolved that each regional association created after December 1, 2017 will receive 40% of donations and membership fees collected on their territory after September 1st, 2017.

If you would like to set up or join a regional NDPQ association, please contact Peter or Evelyne who will be happy to answer your questions and to send you the list of members registered in your area.

Together, we can make a difference.

In solidarity,

Peter Deslauriers, President of the NDPQ Organization Committee, (peter.deslauriers@ndpq.site)
Evelyne Henry, Vice-president of the NDPQ Organization Committee, (evelyne.henry@npdq.site)
